The mystery surrounding the lands of Egypt has long been one of the marvels of the western world. The discovery of King Tut’s tomb sparked a wildfire of interest that continues unabated to this day. One of the places I would like to visit in my lifetime is the Valley of the Kings, where the tomb of King Tut is located.

Well, thanks to the modern miracle of computers, I can…sort of. It is possible via cyberspace to take a tour not only of Valley of the Kings, but also of the ongoing excavation of the tombs of the sons of King Ramses II, as well as monuments of Thebes on the West Bank of the Nile River. There are some excellent explanations about Egyptology, as well as links to other interesting sites.

This is a fun site to visit. There is a lot of history here, but it is well presented without a hint of dryness. Feel safe to visit here, and not worry about encountering an unknown Mummy…I think they’re all accounted for.
